Welcome to the heart of our youth basketball program, the Zionsville Youth Basketball Association (ZYBA), dedicated to students in grades 2 through 6. ZYBA is where young athletes take their first steps towards becoming basketball stars.
At ZYBA, we prioritize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship in our travel basketball program. Our dedicated coaching staff is committed to helping each player reach their full potential, both on and off the court. Through regular training sessions and practice, we aim to build not just great basketball players, but well-rounded individuals.

CHARACTER
We understand that not everyone may make a team due to the competitive nature of our program. It's essential to remember that being cut from a team does not define a player's potential or future in basketball. We encourage those who do not make a team to continue their basketball journey through our training programs and to return for future tryouts. Every player's development is unique, and our commitment to their growth extends beyond team selection.
Our annual tryouts are an opportunity for players to showcase their skills and passion for the game. They typically occur in Mid-September. While we aim to field four teams per grade level, team formation depends on player evaluations and coaching staff availability.
Our player evaluation process is transparent and impartial. We consider various factors, including skill level, attitude, and teamwork. We ensure that every player is given a fair opportunity to demonstrate their abilities. Attendance to both try-out dates are strongly encouraged. It is not mandatory at this time. If you cannot attend both days, please inform our staff ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
Regardless if a player makes a team or not, your child can still benefit from our training sessions and summer camps, where they can continue to improve their skills and love for the game. We encourage all players to utilize these opportunities as a way to enhance their skills. Summer Camps are announced in early spring with camps in June. Fall trainings are announced in early August and begins around Labor Day. Check the for signup info.
